Recycling register

The Reports › Recycling register report follows each appliance received through to the end of its processing. As its on-screen description says: "Recycling register: units received in the period whose processing is done."

Use it to prove each unit's treatment: who delivered it, what it was (type, brand, model, year, weight), which refrigerant it contained, when and by whom it was degassed, and when it was dismantled.

Before you start

  • You need the Recycling register permission (group Reports). See Reports overview.
  • Only units with the Processed status appear (see below), and only if their reception is Completed.
  • The brand, model, year, weight and gas come from the unit's model in Administration › Products, Products tab (see Products).

Which units appear

Each unit placed in an inbound batch has a status, which follows its processing:

StatusMeaningIn the register?
Awaiting receptionThe batch's reception is not completed yet.No
ReceivedThe reception is completed; the unit has no model yet.No
IdentifiedA model has been assigned to the unit.No
DegassedThe degassing is recorded (or "No gas"); the dismantling is still to do.No
ProcessedThe unit is dismantled, after its degassing if its product type is Degassable.Yes

The processing rules guarantee this order: "The unit must be identified before it is degassed or dismantled." and, for a Degassable type, "Degas the unit before dismantling it.".

If an operation is undone (Undo dismantling, then if needed Undo degassing), the unit goes back to the previous status and disappears from the register until its processing is done again. To undo a degassing, the dismantling must be undone first ("Undo the unit's dismantling first.").

Viewing the register

  1. In the menu, click Reports, then Recycling register.
  2. The register opens on the Last 3 months. To change the period, click the period button at the top left, choose a period, then click Apply (see Choosing the period).
  3. To sort, click a column header; click it again to reverse the order.
  4. Use the buttons at the bottom of the table to move between pages of 50 rows.
The period is based on the reception date

A unit is placed in the period by its reception's completion date, not by the date of its degassing or dismantling. A unit received in September and dismantled in October appears in the September register, as soon as it is Processed. A past period's register can therefore still grow.

Exporting the register

  1. Choose the period.
  2. Click the button with the Excel icon at the top right (tooltip Export).
  3. The file Recycling_register_YYYY-MM-DD_YYYY-MM-DD.xlsx is downloaded and the message "The register was exported." is shown.

The file contains a Recycling sheet with the title "RECYCLING REGISTER", the fifteen columns below and all the rows of the period, in the default order. The unique number is written in full, as text; weights have three decimals. The button is greyed out when the period has no processed unit.

Columns

ColumnWhat it containsWhere the value comes from
RecyclerYour organization's name.Your organization, the same on every row.
Transport noteThe reception's transport note number.The reception's Transport note no. field.
Reception dateThe day the reception was completed.The moment someone clicked Complete.
Unique number (ID)The unit's identifier, a string of 36 characters.Assigned automatically by RecyTrax to the unit. It is not its QR label.
Product type (TP)The name of the unit's product type.The unit's product type (Administration › Products, Product Types tab).
BrandThe model's brand.The model's Brand field.
ModelThe model number.The model's Model no. field.
YearThe model's year.The model's Year field.
Weight (kg)The unit's weight, to three decimals.The model's Weight (kg) field.
Refrigerant typeThe gas this model contains.The model's Gas type field; empty if the product type is not Degassable.
Refrigerant weightThe model's gas charge, in kg, to three decimals.The model's Gas quantity (kg) field; empty if the product type is not Degassable.
Treatment type"Recycling".Every dismantled unit is recycled.
Degassing dateThe day the degassing (or "No gas") was recorded.The degassing station; empty for a non-degassable type.
Degassed byThe name of the user who recorded the degassing.The degassing station; empty for a non-degassable type.
Dismantling dateThe day the dismantling was recorded.The dismantling station.
Refrigerant: model values

Refrigerant type and Refrigerant weight come from the model's record in Administration › Products, not from the Gas type and Quantity (kg) entered at degassing. If the operator recorded "No gas", the register still shows the model's gas and charge, along with the degassing date and person.

Row order

By default, and always in the Excel file:

  1. the most recent receptions first (by completion date);
  2. within a day, by descending reception number (R-10 before R-9);
  3. within a reception, by ascending inbound batch number (LE-9 before LE-10);
  4. within a batch, in the order the units were added.

The reception and batch numbers are used to order the rows but are not columns of the register.

On a phone

In the Cards view, each unit becomes a card: the reception date and the transport note at the top, then the product type, brand and model, year and weight, then Unique number (ID), Refrigerant type, Refrigerant weight, Treatment type, Degassing date, Degassed by, Dismantling date and Recycler. The Table button shows the full table instead.

Rules

  • One row per unit: a unit never has more than one current degassing and one current dismantling.
  • A unit only appears if it is Processed and its reception is Completed with a completion date in the period.
  • The model's values (brand, model, year, weight, gas) are read when the register is displayed. If you correct a model's record, past rows show the new values. A model deleted since keeps its values in the register.
  • If the period has no processed unit, the table shows "No unit received in this period."

Frequently asked questions

A dismantled unit does not appear in the register.

Check three things:

  1. its status is Processed — for a Degassable type, the degassing (or "No gas") must also be recorded;
  2. its reception is Completed;
  3. the reception's completion date is within the chosen period (not the dismantling date).

I dismantled units this month, but this month's register is empty.

The register places units by their reception date. Choose the period during which those units were received.

The refrigerant weight does not match the quantity recovered at degassing.

The register shows the gas charge on the model's record, not the quantity entered at degassing. To correct the value shown, correct the model's Gas quantity (kg) in Administration › Products.

The refrigerant and degassing columns are empty.

The unit's product type is not Degassable: there is no degassing to record. If the type is degassable but the gas is empty, the model's record has no Gas type.

The unique number does not match the label stuck on the appliance.

This is normal: the Unique number (ID) is the internal identifier RecyTrax assigns to each unit. The QR label stuck on the appliance is a different value.

A unit disappeared from the register.

An operation was undone on that unit (Undo dismantling or Undo degassing). It will come back to the register once its processing is done again.

Why is the treatment type always "Recycling"?

In RecyTrax, every dismantled unit counts as recycled: there is currently no reuse treatment for a whole unit.
