Access and menus

A menu described in this guide does not appear for me.

Menus are shown according to your permissions: each screen (receptions, degassing, reports, etc.) has its own. Ask your organization's administrator to grant it. See Roles & permissions.

I don't see the Reports menu.

Each report has its own permission, and the Reports menu hides itself when none is granted. See Reports.

Can I use RecyTrax on a tablet or a phone?

Yes. The app adapts to the screen: the menu becomes a drawer, lists become cards, and the degassing and dismantling workstations are designed for a tablet at the workbench. See Finding your way around.

Receptions and inbound batches

Why is the reception's Complete button greyed out?

The total number of units in the batches does not match the reception's Expected quantity. Correct the batches or the expected quantity. If you just changed the expected quantity, save the reception, reopen it, then complete it. See Complete a reception.

Can I undo the completion of a reception?

No. A completed reception stays completed and becomes read-only. Check the batch count before clicking Complete.

Where do I record the warehouse of a load?

Not on the reception: each inbound batch gets its location with the Inventorize button, once the reception is completed. See Inventorize a batch.

Why is my inbound batch's weight 0?

A batch's weight is the sum of the catalogue weights of its identified units. While units are only counted by type, the weight stays at 0. See Identify a unit.

The appliance's model is not in the list.

Create it while identifying the unit with Add a new product: type, brand, model number, weight and, for a degassable type, the gas type. See Create a model missing from the catalogue.

Degassing and dismantling

A received unit does not appear in the degassing list.

Check that its batch's reception is completed, that its product type is Degassable, and that no degassing is already recorded for it. A unit of a non-degassable type goes straight to dismantling. See Degassing.

The screen says the batch is in inventory.

Units of a batch stored at a location cannot be processed. Tap Remove from inventory on the unit screen, then carry on.

I entered the wrong gas quantity. How do I correct it?

Undo the degassing (Undo button in the confirmation message, or Undo degassing on the unit screen), then record it again. If the unit is already dismantled, undo the dismantling first. See Undo or correct a degassing.

The gas type list is empty.

No material is marked as a gas. An administrator must tick Gas on the relevant materials in Administration › Materials. See Materials.

The Dismantle button is greyed out.

The unit is not identified yet: choose its model first. See Dismantling.

Do I need to enter the time spent or the materials obtained when dismantling?

No. Dismantling is recorded in one tap: RecyTrax notes who did it and when. The materials obtained are then grouped into outbound batches.

Outbound batches and shipments

Can I put several materials in one outbound batch?

No. An outbound batch holds a single material and a single weight. Create one batch per material.

An outbound batch does not appear in the Add a batch window.

Only batches in Open status are offered. The batch is probably already on another shipment: check its Shipment column in the outbound batch list.

I changed the buyer and my batches' valorizations changed.

On save, RecyTrax applies the new buyer's default valorizations to every batch of the shipment, including those you had changed. Check them before shipping. See Change the buyer.

Can I cancel a shipment that has been shipped?

No. A shipped shipment can no longer be cancelled, edited or deleted.

Does RecyTrax print a bill of lading?

No. The only document RecyTrax prints is a batch's identification corner (inbound or outbound), with its QR code. See QR codes and labels.

Reports

The weight in the outbound materials register differs from the shipment's net weight.

The register uses the outbound batch's Weight, without deducting the packaging weight, while the shipment shows a net weight (weight minus packaging). See Outbound materials.

The gas recovered at degassing does not appear in the mass balance.

The mass balance's gas section counts shipped gas outbound batches, not degassings. The gas appears once it is shipped. See Mass balance.

The mass balance of a past period has changed.

The balance is recalculated every time it is displayed: a corrected model weight, a later identification or a changed valorization also change past periods. Export the report to keep a copy as of a given date.

Can I export a report to PDF?

No. Reports are exported to Excel (.xlsx). See Exporting to Excel.

QR codes

The header scan shows "Code not accepted".

The header scan button reads the codes of RecyTrax identification corners (inbound and outbound batches). To find a unit by its QR label, scan from the search of the processing workstations' list. See QR codes and labels.

The camera does not start.

Allow camera access for the RecyTrax site in your browser, then try again. See Camera problems.
