Dashboard
The Home page is the first page shown after sign-in. It brings together your quick actions (shortcuts to your everyday work) and, if you have the permission, the dashboard: the valorization gap, the number of units received, degassed, dismantled and in inventory, and the weight of the materials shipped by valorization type, for the chosen period.
Before you start
- The dashboard needs the Dashboard permission. Without it, Home only shows "Welcome" and your quick actions.
- Each quick action only appears if you have the permission for the screen it opens.
- The figures come from the operations recorded in RecyTrax: completed receptions, degassings, dismantlings, shipped shipments. See The journey of an appliance.
Opening Home
Click Home in the menu, or the RecyTrax logo in the header.
Home is laid out like this, from top to bottom:
- Quick actions;
- the Dashboard title, with the period's dates under it and the period button on the right;
- the Valorization gap card;
- four tiles: Received, Degassed, Dismantled and In inventory;
- the Kg by valorization type card.
Quick actions
| Action | Text shown | What it opens | Permission |
|---|---|---|---|
| New reception | "Record a delivery from a supplier." | A new reception, ready to fill in. | Receptions |
| Degassing | "Received units to degas." | The degassing workstation's work list. | Degassing |
| Dismantling | "Degassed units to dismantle." | The dismantling workstation's work list. | Dismantling |
| New shipment | "Ship outbound batches to a buyer." | A new shipment, ready to fill in. | Shipments |
A small "+" on the icon marks an action that creates a new item. If you have none of these permissions, the Quick actions section is not shown.
Choosing the period
By default, the dashboard covers the Last 30 days: today and the 29 days before. Under the Dashboard title, RecyTrax shows the dates covered (start date "to" end date), or All time.
- Click the period button, to the right of the title (calendar icon).
- Choose Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month, Last month, This year or All time, or pick your own dates with Custom.
- Click Apply.
How the period picker works in detail (typed dates, messages) is described in Finding your way around the interface.
- The chosen period is not kept: when you come back to Home, the dashboard starts again on Last 30 days.
- The figures are read again each time you open Home and when you come back to the browser window. The previous figures stay on screen during the update.
- The In inventory tile does not depend on the period (see below).
The valorization gap
The large card at the top of the dashboard shows the Valorization gap: the "Weight difference between inbound and outbound batches", as a percentage. It measures the share of the weight that came in and has not left again as shipped outbound batches.
How it is calculated
Valorization gap = (Inbound batch weight − Outbound batch weight) ÷ Inbound batch weight × 100
The result is rounded to one decimal. Both weights are shown under the gauge:
| Value | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Inbound batch weight | The weight of the inbound batches whose reception was completed during the period (by the date the reception was completed). An inbound batch's weight is the sum of the catalogue net weights of its identified units: a unit not yet identified counts as 0 kg until it is identified. |
| Outbound batch weight | The net weight of the outbound batches placed on a shipment shipped during the period (by shipping date). An outbound batch that has not been shipped yet is not counted: it is still on site. |
Example: 10,000 kg of inbound batches and 9,200 kg of outbound batches over the period give (10,000 − 9,200) ÷ 10,000 × 100 = 8.0 %.
If no inbound weight is recorded over the period, the gap cannot be calculated: the card shows "—" in grey.
Colours and thresholds
The figure and the gauge change colour according to the level:
| Gap | Colour | Reading |
|---|---|---|
| Below 7 % | Green | Good level. |
| From 7 % to 10 % inclusive | Yellow | To watch: the gap is approaching the maximum. |
| Above 10 % | Red | Above the maximum. |
| No inbound weight | Grey ("—") | No data for the period. |
The gauge runs from 0 % to 15 %. Its three zones (green up to 7 %, yellow up to 10 %, red beyond) are marked by the 0 %, 7 %, 10 % max (in red) and 15 % ticks. A gap above 15 % fills the gauge completely. A negative gap (more weight out than in over the period) is shown in green, with an empty gauge.
The unit tiles
Each tile shows a number of units ("… products") and their total weight in kilograms.
| Tile | What it counts | Weight shown |
|---|---|---|
| Received | The units of the inbound batches whose reception was completed during the period, whatever processing step they have reached since. | The period's Inbound batch weight. |
| Degassed | The units degassed during the period, that is, with gas recovered. A unit recorded with "No gas" is not counted here. An undone degassing no longer counts. | The catalogue net weight of these units' products. |
| Dismantled | The units dismantled during the period, by the date of the dismantling. An undone dismantling no longer counts. | The catalogue net weight of these units' products. |
| In inventory ("as of today") | All the units of the inbound batches placed in a warehouse location, right now. This tile ignores the period. | The catalogue net weight of these units' products; a unit not yet identified counts as 0 kg. |
The degassing and dismantling dates are the ones on which the operation was recorded at the workstation.
Kg by valorization type
The bottom card splits the weight of the outbound batches shipped during the period by their valorization type, as defined by your organization.
- At the top right: the total, for example "Outbound batches · 9,200 kg".
- In the middle of the ring: the same total in tonnes, with one decimal.
- The table next to the ring lists each type, from heaviest to lightest, with its colour, its weight in kilograms and its share of the total as a percentage.
- Hover over (or tap) a part of the ring to see its type, weight and share.
- Not assigned (in grey) groups the outbound batches shipped without a valorization type.
- Deleted valorization type groups the batches whose type has since been deleted.
If no outbound batch was shipped during the period, the card shows "No outbound batch in this period."
Valorization types are managed in Valorizations; an outbound batch's type is set when it is shipped.
If the dashboard does not load
The message "The dashboard could not be loaded." appears in a red frame. Check your internet connection, then refresh the page. If the message persists, tell your administrator.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the valorization gap negative?
Over the chosen period, the weight of the shipped outbound batches exceeds that of the received inbound batches: for example, you shipped materials from older receptions. Choose a longer period (This year, All time) for a more representative gap.
Why does the gap show "—"?
No inbound weight is recorded over the period: no reception was completed, or the units of the received batches have not been identified yet (they weigh 0 kg until then).
Why have the figures of a past period changed?
An inbound batch's weight grows as its units are identified, even after the reception. Likewise, an undone degassing or dismantling disappears from the tiles. The figures always reflect the current state of the data.
Do outbound batches not shipped yet count?
No. Only the outbound batches of a shipment shipped during the period count in the outbound weight and in the Kg by valorization type card, as in the mass balance.
Why doesn't "In inventory" change when I change the period?
That is intended: this tile shows the inventory as of today, whatever the period.
Does a "No gas" unit appear in Degassed?
No. Only units whose gas was recovered count as degassed. The unit is still processed normally and moves on to dismantling.
I don't see the dashboard, only "Welcome".
You lack the Dashboard permission. See Roles and permissions.
Do I need to refresh the page to see the latest figures?
No. The dashboard updates each time you come back to Home or to the browser window.
